Fear Not
Shepherds quaked as the Angel Gabriel appeared. ‘Fear not’. An intense message to earn trust, allay worries, bring calm. Words intended to reverberate to all mankind, through all time. Reinforcing this, it is reckoned the words ‘Fear Not’ appear in the Bible three hundred and sixty-five times. Symbolically providing assurance once on every day of the year. Phrases like ‘do not worry’ and ‘do not be dismayed’ are admitted; perhaps suggesting desire to find pattern and meaning is on overdrive. Should we worry this depends on which version of the Bible you read, which translation, and which calendar? No fear.
